Celebration Time

Good morning,

We have had a lot of celebrating this week.  Our sweet grandson turned 2, Our beautiful daughter turned 27 and we are celebrating our anniversary today!

As I woke up to this beautiful day my mind went back to 30 years ago and what we were doing on this very day.   Mom and I we’re frantically getting all the food together and getting dressed.  This day was the last day that my name would be “Rudd” and would forever change to “Lawrence.”   (Even though many people still called me a “Rudd” girl.)  This was one of the best decisions of my life.

Yesterday we were so blessed to have our children make us dinner and spend the day with us.  We have wonderful children,  daughter-in-law and son-in-law.

This morning we woke up and sat outside for a cup of coffee.  I was able to start my morning with 2 of my favorite people.  Jesus and Phil.

Then it’s on our way to celebrate together. Our first stop was where we said “I Do” 30 years ago.   The church has changed some but still brings back memories of that special day.  Since that day we have lived within 15 minutes of this church in 3 different homes.  Memories are a wonderful gift from God.

My prayers sure were answered when God brought us together.   He knows the future and takes care if his own.  Many things have changed in 30 years.   We both have some gray hair and battle scars.  Our love for Christ, each other & our family has grown.  One thing that hasn’t change is that we still enjoy spending time together whether at home or on a date.

Life has been good to us and I was thinking this morning If I never wake to see another day I can still say I have been oh so blessed.

Enjoy your holiday with God, family and friends.

I am…

Blessed Beyond Measures,

Cindy
