More Jesus-Less Me

Good morning,

It has been a wonderful week of relaxation and sight seeing for Phil and I as we celebrated our 30th Anniversary.   We visited Disney World for a few days then got on a cruise ship to the Caribbean.    One thing I wanted to make sure I packed prior to leaving was God’s word and My Gospel Music.  These 2 things are so special to my heart.

Our trip was absolutely amazing with the beautiful sights of God’s creation.  We saw a rainforest in Puerto Rico and the most beautiful waters in the Caribbean.  We had time to enjoy the reason why we chose each other to spend the rest of our life with almost 30 years ago. It has been a wonderful journey.  The journeys has had a few bumps, pain  and tears but for the most part has been amazing.  I give credit to God for this.

He can take your life and mold it into what he wants if we let go of the reigns and give them to him.

One thing I have found to be true is this…

“He must increase, but I must decrease.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This has been so real to me the more I read his word and listen closely to his leading.   When we give all of ourselves to Christ he does increase. He becomes our main focus and we realize we are nothing without him.

When you get off of a cruise ship like we did you give thanks to God for saving your soul.  If not for Christ we could be looking for contentment in all the wrong places.  So many people look to other things to give them comfort.  Comfort for just a short while.  We was happy with some dice to play “Farkle” & “Yahtzee”, coffee, food ,Diet Coke and God’s beauty and a realization that without Christ everyday we fail miserably.

Oh and yes I almost forgot to mention we received a call from our youngest son Eli on Sunday.  This was such a blessing to talk to him for 11 minutes and get some questions answered.  He has been thru a lot but God continues to be with him.  They had a special tribute while on our cruise to the military and their families   This was a touching time.  I cried a few tears here.  We hung the flags outside our cabin.

We are a close family and I miss all of them when we go away.  We will get to see most of them in a few hours and hug Eli in a few more weeks.  It’s been a long journey for us I can’t imagine what it has been for him.  We just keep praying everyday.

I am…

Blessed Beyond Measures,

Cindy
