Good Afternoon,
The weather has taken a quick turn to the cold side. This morning the temperature got down into the 30s and the weather man is saying possible snow flurries. I am smiling a little though!
This evening I wanted to show you some more of my decorated areas. For soon they will take on a new look. Christmas time is rapidly approaching and boy do I have alot to get done. As most of you know my parents owned and operated “Rudd’s Christmas Farm” in Blue Creek, Ohio for 30 years and the memories I have are PRICELESS, not to mention that it is where I met the love of my life. So when the feel of fall is in the air in a “Rudd Girls” mind Christmas is bringing a lot of excitement. So much on my mind that Christmas music has been echoing thru my home and ears for several weeks.
I just got done today with a thorough cleaning on my house to get it ready for all the decorations. I also purchased the give away present and want to keep it myself. So if you like my style you will want to share away and try to be the winner of this gift. I will be posting pictures of the gift real soon.
As I have said in the past I love to take some old stuff and add some new items. This area is located above our front door. Some of these toys were Phil’s when he was young. The firetruck was Canaan’s when he was a toddler. The lunch box is one like I use to carry to school everyday. The badminton racket is one I played with as a kid The bubble gum machine was one our kids use to get gum out of at Phil’s parents.
I treasure little things that mean a lot to me. Especially things that bring back awesome memories. Memories are a special thing and I am so thankful to the Lord that I have many good memories. Memories that remind me daily…
