Good morning,
My mornings to sit outside and read my bible are quickly coming to an end as school approaches. I will still find time to read his word but it probably won’t be on my back porch listening to the birds sing and feeling the morning breeze in the air. It’s so quite out here in the morning. It makes me think of peaceful things. I have been doing a bible study on perfect peace and am amazed at how many times in the bible he speaks of peace.
In this world we live in it is hard to find peace. Seems like something always seems to consume our mind. The news, Facebook news, drug addiction, hearing of someone who have turned from the Lord and his ways. Troublesome times have come upon us, and quickly. I am so thankful that I serve a magnificent God who gives me peace.
In John 14: 27 it says…
Peace I leave with you my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. KJV
There is a comfort in the word of the Lord. People try to find peace in the world but no peace is like the Lord’s peace. He allows us to lie down at night with “Praise” on our minds. He allows us to wake up in the night with “Prayer”on our mind. He allows us to arise in the morning with “Thanks” on our minds. Sure there are worries and troubles around us but I choose to not be afraid because he will make a way. He always has!!!
May you find God’s peace today. His peace with never leave you. You have to look for him.
