Hoping all of you had a wonderful day. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms. Being a mom is a gift and I am so grateful God allowed me to be one. It’s a special gift but a big responsibility. Raising children goes by so fast and before you know it you look back and think… I sure hope I did it right. It’s a one time thing. We can’t go back and start over. I pray everyday that I can be the mom, memaw, wife and friend that would be pleasing to God and a positive impact on my family. I sing a song by the Crabb Family and the lyrics to the Chorus say “If she’s following me. Lord I need to follow you. If I’m a living example I need a whole lot of your Love, and if each step she takes will influence her forever. I can’t afford to lose Lord help me make it right.” If you are a mom who isn’t leading your children right I encourage you to start today. You will never regret it.
What a beautiful Mother’s Day I had. One truly blessed by God. I got to spend it with my Mom, my In-Laws, my wonderful husband and our beautiful children and grandchildren. My sister even stopped by for a visit. We enjoyed some food (pulled pork sandwiches, mac and cheese, baked beans, chips, sweet tea, kool-aid topped off with strawberry shortcake, nutter butter cookies and coffee.) YUM.
Some took a golf cart ride around the lake while others enjoyed a nice talk on the back porch. The grand babies enjoyed playing in Miss Eden’s water table. As if that wasn’t enough God sent us one of the best days ever with sunshine and temperatures in the upper 70s.
