A Blessed Kitchen

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good afternoon,
It has been a busy week but a blessed week.  Saturday I got to spend the day with my beautiful momma.  So thankful for the way her and dad raised me to fear God and keep his comandments.  The raising I recieved has been handed to my children and grandchildren as well.  What a wonderful ripple effect.
I heard a new song this week that is entitled “Rocks” by the Isaacs and the message was amazing.  This song is taken from the story in John 8:1-11 Some of the lyrics say…
-Rocks are heavy and they hurt people you love.
-It’s so easy bending down and picking them up.
-But I’m not gonna throw no rocks at nobody.
-I’m afraid it might ricochet.
-Don’t have no room for no rocks in my pocket anyway!
Wow what powerful words.  Lets us try our best to not use harmful words to people.  None of us are perfect.  Rocks hurt and words hurt. Words can never be taken back.  Let’s try to love like Christ . (This is for me too)
I do a lot of cooking at home and enjoy cooking especially when Phil can help me.   We have a few recipes that taste good, are healthy and easy to make.  I like recipes after a days work that don’t take a lot of time or make a lot of mess. This is one of our family favorites.  We call them “BBQ Chicken Tortilla Pizzas”20170413_172729
BBQ CHICKEN TORTILLA PIZZA
  • Flour tortillas
  • 1 can chicken Breast
  • BBQ sauce
  • Shredded cheese
Optional toppings  (black olives, onions, bacon bits)
Turn on oven to 350 degrees.  Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray.  Place chicken Breast in a skillet. Use a fork to shred it.  Heat chicken well and add BBQ sauce.  Place tortilla on cookie sheet.  Add BBQ Chicken, additional toppings and top with cheese.  Drizzle top with BBQ sauce.  Bake for 10-15 min at 350 degrees.  (You can also use Buffalo sauce instead of BBQ sauce)                            Makes 4 tortillas
These are yummy!!! I will sometimes make loaded baked potatoes as my side for an amazing supper.
If you’re carrying any rocks in your pockets…Empty them.
I hope you have a wonderful day Blessed by God!!!
BLESSED BEYOND MEASURES,
Cindy
