As we start into a New Year I thought it would be fitting to do a blog on something that all of us could be encouraged by.

This world is full of disappointments, sadness and an incredible amount of trying times to say the least but the things we are going through has not for one second took our Lord and our creator by surprise. He knew it would happen. He knew we would go thru these trials. He knew Covid-19 would be in existence and he knows how long it will last. He also knew you were created for such a time as this.
For our Bible lesson tonight I chose to read a book to my grandchildren entitled “You Are Special” by Max Lucado. Max is one of my favorite Christian authors. If not for adult books definitely for children’s books. Believe it or not I can read a children’s book and get blessed and cry. It’s true. I did it tonight. Just ask my family or my grandchildren.
This book is over 20 years old but so awesome. If you have never read this book you need to. It’s about a wood maker who creates little people. The people in the town judge each wooden character by the way they look and their talents. If they are good they get stars. If they are bad they get dots. But one person in the town doesn’t let the stickers stick to her because she has chosen to not let what the people say bother her and she tells one of the people who has received lots of dots to go back to the master who created him and have that person ask the master how the stickers don’t stick. The wood maker /master tells him that the reason the girls stickers don’t stick is because she cares more about what her creator thinks of her then what the people who place the stickers do…
In 2022 that’s what I want to do. I want to focus more on what my creator “God” thinks of me than anyone else does.
The wood carver/creator also tells the boy with dots to come and see him daily and it will make a difference and he will lose more dots.
I agree with this too. A daily walk with Christ will make the best difference in a home, a marriage, a job and a life. I pray this year I spend more time with Jesus in prayer, praise and my Bible reading.
I hope your 2022 starts out with a daily walk with Christ and a clearer focus on God.
I am…
Blessed Beyond Measures,
Cindy
