I can’t believe it is already January 9, 2019. With a New Year brings many new commitments and accomplishments. I want to live closer to Christ this year, take better care of myself and spend quality time with my family.
Life has a way of letting you know what is important. The final month of 2018 put my focus more on how much I need him and how much things are out of my control. Surgery can slow us down for a bit and give us time to realize who are there for us at our strongest times and our weakest. I would love to give my wonderful husband a few roses 🌹 today. He has definitely seen me at my worst the past few weeks and has never once grumbled or complained. He has been by my side all the way and I am more in love with him today then I was a few weeks ago. I have relied on him, my family, my church family and friends and they have definetly been a great help in my life. Most importantly I have relied on Jesus. I have prayed more and trusted more. Through our storms and valleys the Lord is making us shine brighter. It may be dark right now but Look out…I am on my way to shining bright. Not for self gain but for God gain.
I have been on lifting restrictions so I haven’t been able to do as much as I would like to. ( In fact I still have a few Christmas decorations up.) The past few days I have been going thru some junk drawers. Does anyone else have junk drawers? These drawers collect everything from pennies to cords to pictures. When you need things you never can seem to find them. You open the drawer, look and look and still can’t seem to find what you are looking for. It’s just like our daily life. If we don’t keep it in check it will accumulate stuff that just make us overwhelmed. Stuff we don’t even need.
I pray this year that I keep my junk drawers cleaned but more importantly my life clean. May I only hold onto things that will help me to grow.
