Fresh Manna

Good morning,

It has been a wonderful week. A week blessed by God. Another VBS in the record books with the word being taught to 71 children and some accepting Christ as their savior.  All the hard work was definitely worth it.

Do you ever feel like every time you open Gods word or your phones Bible app that God is sending something that you needed at that very moment? This is manna. Gods manna.

The definition of manna is:  an unusual sudden and unexpected source of gratification, pleasure, or gain.

We may receive manna in the form of a kind word from someone, a financial blessing, a hug from a friend or a soft word spoken to you by the savior himself. I have experience so much manna lately. Manna in the form of money, God’s word, a strangers kindness in a store and the voice of God speaking to me when I needed his guidance. I have learned the closer we get to God the closer he draws to us.

The most important thing is to know exactly where this manna is coming from.  He never seizes to amaze me.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD , which made heaven and earth.  Psalms 121:1-2

This week started a new life at our home.  We are so proud of our youngest as he left for Army Basic Training yesterday. Less then 1% of the population do this.  What an honor as parents who raised a son with so much love for God and his country.

We arrived home from the airport and time with our family and applied our new decal on our truck window.

As we celebrate Independence Day tomorrow it has a brand new meaning. Thanks from the bottom of my heart to all who have served and currently serve in our military to give us the freedom we have today.

  1. Thank you to your son for serving and for you and your husband being so willing to let him and for raising him to want to serve. May God continue to richly bless you all.

  2. We will miss Eli, but know he is following God’s leading. Enjoyed this post about God’s manna. We certainly need it. God bless your family.
PS Thanks for all you and Phil did for vbs. You were great leaders. Glad God gave you a vision because I had none, lol. Your decoration ideas were wonderful!
