Good Evening,
I hope you are getting your finishing touches done on your Christmas Festivities. I am almost ready. We have alot of things planned. This Saturday we are hosting the Rudd Family Christmas, we are even expecting a visit from Santa. . Sunday we plan to attend church with our children and go to Phil’s parents for the Lawrence family Christmas. On Christmas Day we will have our children and grandchildren over in the evening for dinner and giving time. I am like a kid anticipating the arrival of Santa. I love this time of year.
As I spoke this evening at our Bible Study I touched on how many things we give to others that show our love. It doesn’t have to be expensive. Just a card, a cookie, or maybe a handmade ornament. All of these gifts let us know we love someone or are loved. How many gift’s have you already given this season?
Some of my favorite Christmas cookies are these peanut butter cookies with Hershey kisses. They are easy to make. Just make a peanut butter cookie dough. Rolled into balls and bake as directed. After removing from the oven immediately put the Hershey kiss on top. These taste yummy.
Phil and I made homemade wassail this evening to share with the Adults at Church. We have never made this before. It is so easy and so tasty. If you have never had this you need to. I plan to make this for my family this weekend. I am enclosing the recipe.
Easy Wassail
2 Quarts Apple Cider
1 1/2 C Orange Juice
3/4 C. Pineapple Juice
1/2 tsp. Lemon Juice
1 T. Brown Sugar
Dash Cinnamon
Dash Cloves
3 Cinnamon Sticks.
Place all ingredients in a large sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Cover and let simmer for 20 min. Serve
Sit back and enjoy a warm cup a Wassail.
