Good Evening,
☀️This week we stepped right into summer. I don’t care as much for the HOT weather but I have been enjoying the sunshine and longer days. I love leaving for work when it’s daylight and it not getting dark until after 9 pm. The seasons are something we definetly have in the Ohio valley and I really enjoy it.
☀️This evening I wanted to share with you some of my favorite “Earthly”things.
1. Pandora: this is a free app that allows you to play your favorite music on your phone, android or IPad. Music is a big part of my life. I get ready in the mornings listning to music and go to sleep with it. Usually it’s Southern Gospel and during the holidays Christmas music. Sometimes when I am cooking I will turn on some Sinatra. Try it sometime. It is awesome!!!(Downside…it requires Internet service)
2. A mirror:
This is a full mirror that I got for less than $10.00. The reason I chose this for one of my favorite things is because I use this all the time. When I get dressed I look at myself and see if I like how it looks. If I don’t then I try something else. Give it a try. Your day will go much better if you are comfortable with how you look. I have changed clothes several times looking for something that suits me. Try on your jewelry and take a look as well. What you see is what others see. Everyday is different. I love my mirror and think you will too if you give it a try.
3. Jewelry:
Of course my favorite ring is my wedding ring set. This set Phil bought me for our 15 year wedding anniversary. But I also like to wear other jewelry. Usually inexpensive with a classy look. I am a nurse so I wear a watch on a daily basis. I buy a lot of my jewelry from Catos. They have a style that I love!!!
4. Curling Iron:
I have used a curling iron goin on nearly 40 years but have never found one I love like this one. This gold coated curling iron cost me almost $40.00 but was well worth it. I purchased this at Sally’s Beauty Shop. I use to spend alot of time curling my hair and within 1 hour you couldn’t even tell that I had curled it. With this iron you can set the heat ( I set mine to almost 380 but my hair is thick) and the curl stays for hours. I figure if I am gonna take the time to curl it then it should last. I really really love this!!!
5. Lipstick:
I have looked for years for a lipstick that stays on for a long time. This one seems to last for me more than any others. It costs less than $10.00 but you don’t have to keep reapplying. It’s the Revlon Colorstay Ultimate. The color I currently wear is Iconic Iris. But they have a variety of colors to suit your look.
☀️These 5 things are a few of my blessings but I am thankful my content state within my heart is because of Christ and not things. He has blessed me with all of my needs and most of my wants and I thank him daily for this.
