Grandbaby Blessings

Good morning,

Wow…I can’t believe it’s already Thursday.  These weeks are flying by and I am here like…Wait for me to catch up! Sometimes life to me feels like a movie in fast forward mode and I just want to push pause for a while.

We all have times in our life where all seems well and everyone is doing ok.  At these times I want to soak it all up and just sit and enjoy it.

Seems like a few years ago all of our children were under our wing and we were all sleeping under one roof.  No jobs for any of them and I just loved that family time.  Now here it’s the middle of 2017 and 2 are married and the other is working and making plans for his future.   I love all of their choices and love the grand babies God has given us thru their love.  Not to mention I am still in love with their father and that is a rare thing these days.   I have a grand, blessed life.

Today as I talk about this fleeting life my mind goes to this scripture…

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

So thankful God knows our future and will walk us through this life from day to day.  I wouldn’t want anyone else in charge of my life.   If you have never put your trust in him, today would be an awesome day to start.

As most of you know we moved to Lake Waynoka last June and we LOVE it here. It has taken me a while to decide on how to decorate some areas in my home.    Some walls are finished and some are still a work in progress.

This week I FINALLY finished my grandbaby wall in my living room.  This has been hard for me due to the loss of our beautiful granddaughter Aria Charlotte Lawrence “Baby Charlie” on December 10, 2016.  The window that I painted last year has finally took on a special meaning for all my grand babies.  I love how it turned out.  I hope you do too!!!

The “Bushel & Peck” sign was given to me as a gift from Brittany.  The “Grandkids make life more Grand” I custom ordered.  Both signs were made by a friend we go to church with.  I am sure you agree that she does an awesome job!!!

This was my DYI project.  I took and old window with panes and painted all the windows with Chalkboard paint. I then took a chalk marker and customized it myself with my grandbabies names.  I hot glued small clothes pins so I can easily change the pictures as they grow.  (I love taking pictures of them but sometimes get caught up in playing and forget to get my camera out.)   For Baby Charlies window I decided on angel wings and a candle that I can keep lit.  In the center I put a black frame with a picture of all 3 grandbabies together.

Elijah made a comment asking what will I do when he has kids.  Of course to me that will be an easy fix.  I’ll just buy a bigger window and do it again.

As you can see I love taking old pieces and adding a new touch.  To me this gives it Character.
