Good evening,
You have made it thru half of the week, not just any week, but a week to reflect on what Christ did for us and the reason our family celebrates Easter. So thankful for the Salvation plan and the blood he shed for me. What a change he has made in my life.
I am looking forward to spending some time with my family this week for some wonderful food, worship and of course an Easter egg hunt. I hope to share some pictures in an upcoming blog to show you some of my blessings!!!

Most of you know that the title of my blog and web page is “BLESSED BEYOND MEASURES.” Let me explain… The “Blessed” is self explanatory but “Beyond Meaures” may pose some questions. When I was trying to choose a name for my blog the family helped me choose this one. I’m not skinny by any means, in fact I fall a bit on the chunky side. “Beyond Measures” was so fitting because no matter what size we are, we are all made in his image.
Psalms 139:15 says “We are fearfully and wonderfully made.”
With that being said I try my best to be as attractive as possible and have found Joy in what God has given me.

When I was in high school, a long time ago, I had a teacher who I thought was so beautiful. She said she got up every morning before her husband so she could look beautiful for him when he saw her. I thought that was the sweetest thing and would be awesome to do when I got married. So you ask me… Do I get up before my husband? Absolutely….NOT. Phil gets up for work at 3 and I don’t get up for work until after 5. Those 2 hours are precious to me.
Anyway when I rise I do my best to fix up the best I can. Sometimes I will snap a picture and send him saying “Good Morning.” There’s rarely a day that I don’t fix up and apply makeup even if we are just staying home. Getting dressed up and applying makeup makes me feel good about myself and receiving compliments from my husband always makes me smile. 😉

Of course by now you probably know that I LOVE to shop. My favorite places are the clearance racks. It’s rare for me to pay full price for anything. I head straight to these racks and almost always find something I love here, so why spend full price?
I had my son snap some pictures of me in an outfit I bought for less than $25.00. (The pants cost $6.00,the shirt 17.00, the scarf was a birthday gift and my shoes were already in my closet.) I mix match all the time and you will probably see this in future posts.
I hope this encourages you to spend some time on yourself. Take 30 minutes everyday for your self. You will be happier and the compliments you recieve with bring a smile. 🙂
