Your Christmas Tree

Good Afternoon,

Well it’s only 6 days until thanksgiving and I haven’t’ near gotten all my decorations up as planned.  I did put the turkey in the fridge to thaw for our dinner this Sunday.  We usually have a thanksgiving dinner with our kids and our parents the Sunday before Thanksgiving.  I am looking forward to a meal filled by his presence and my many blessings.

Phil had surgery on Monday so I took 2 days off work and that allowed me some time to decorate after I got him medicated and on ice packs.  I enjoyed my time with him.  God continues to bless our love for one another and I am so grateful for that.  I wouldn’t know what to do without him and I thank God for him daily.

Relaxing with each other is a true blessing!!!

I started teaching our Wednesday evening Bible study last week and of course we are focused on the birth of our Savior.  Last week we talked on how each person in the nativity felt and how it fits in our lives today.  God is so awesome in the way that he can make us think in different ways that still point to him.

This past Wednesday the Lord led me to bring to our focus of how a Christmas tree can also represent a Christians life. The light of Christ can shine bright, flicker, or bubble in our life but once it’s there we need to keep it lit by reading his word an praying daily.  We then went on to describing what ornaments are on our tree.

*Gingerbread men (sweetness of Christ) *Glitter/Shiney balls ( shine for Christ), *Instruments (are we using our talents for Christ?)                                                   *A pickle ( is our walk with Christ sour to others?) and many more.            Which leads me to ask you the same question I asked them….What does your tree look like?

I hope it has ornaments.  If you don’t have ornaments of Christ on your personal tree/ life.  Start hanging them on there.  Let your light shine, use your talents, be sweet to others.  Let the love of Christ decorate your tree and life this year.

It starts with you!!!

I am…
