Party Time

Good afternoon ,

We had a wonderful weekend of partying.  The weather was picture perfect and the friends, family and “Birthday Boys” are a blessing.  It seems like I enjoy the little things more and more everyday.  The time we got to spend this weekend with everyone was so enjoyable.  No fighting, no fussing just all getting along with one another playing games and eating a lot of food.   What a blessing!!!

First off I will feature the birthday party of our grandson Beckett.  He is turning “1” this month and is starting to walk. Brittany and Brandon chose a “Lumberjack” theme for his party.  It was totally adorable.  The food had themed names and Brittany lined up the food that was served:

BBQ sliders

Wood chips (doritos)

Deer poop (Choc. Covered raisins)

Tree Sap (Tea)

Maple Bacon Cupcakes

Peanut butter/ chocolate Cupcakes

S’more Marshmallow

Trees (Choc dipped pretzels/ green spinkles)

Beckett had his own Cake (flapjacks)

On Sunday we had Elijah a Suprise “18” birthday.  He sure was suprised.  Almost 50 people showed up and we were so pleased with how it turned out.  I took the easy cooking route.

Our menu consisted of:

Subs, Chips / dip, Baked Beans, Macaroni salad, Fruit & Cupcakes….in a Guitar layout (Since Elijah loves to play the guitar.)

Friends and family played corn hole and volleyball while some just sat and spent quality time together enjoying one another’s company.  The gifts he received was awesome but our oldest son outdid himself when he gave him an electic guitar that he had worked so hard to obtain.  Needless to say…some teared up a bit, even the brothers.

(I didn’t get enough pictures of these awesome days)

It seems like I blinked an eye and our youngest son is an adult.  We gave him to the Lord when he was a baby and I am thankful that God has allowed us to raise him.  I pray we have done it right.  I am sure there have been times that I have failed.  But I sure pray  that the good has outweighed the bad.

Becoming a Memaw also has a lot of responsibility.  I strive daily to be a Godly example and I cling to this verse a lot….

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6 KJV

May my children, grandchildren, family and friends know what I have stood for and that is Christ and his salvation plan.

For he is the one that has allowed me to be…

Blessed Beyond Measures,

Cindy
