Memorial Day Blessings

Good Morning,

I am hoping you all made some wonderful memories as I did this past weekend.

On Saturday I got up and cleaned house then went to my mom’s for a much needed visit.  We sat outside on her porch swing, drank coffee and got caught up on some chit chat.  We then ran to a country store I Love to shop at and a graduation party that I almost missed.  On our way home we stopped by our granddaughters grave. 😦

That evening Phil and I went fishing (I caught 1, we won’t say how many he caught, but I caught the most…  oops!!!) and on a canoe ride.  Afterwards we met with the kids for a visit to the Dairy Bar.  Of course it was Yummy!!!

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

On Sunday we had a wonderful service at church with the sermon on “Heaven.”  The family came over for lunch (chicken fajitas) and spent the rest of the evening.  Us girls and grandbabies took a long golf cart ride around the lake.

It is so relaxing and the babies love it!!!

🇺🇸On Monday morning the weather was perfect so we took another canoe ride.  I enjoy this soo much!!!

In the afternoon Phil, Eli and I grabbed lunch and visited our grand daughter “Baby Charlie’s” grave :(.  Then we went to a Memorial Parade and service to celebrate the reason for the holiday.  Upon arrival home we went to the pool and ended the day with a visit from all our children and played some corn hole.

This Memorial Day brought back a lot of memories good and bad.  We have endured a lot of death in our family and trials this past year and I am sure some of you reading my blog today have done the same.

It reminds me of a Bible Scripture that is uplifting to me for I have been there too.

1 Peter 5:6-7

6-Humble yourself under the almighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

7-Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

So thankful for God’s word that can speak to us and lift us when we need it.

Crawl up in his arms today and cast your cares on him.  The key for me in this is in verse 6 where it says “that he may exalt you in due time”  hang in there.

He will lift you up in his time.

He cares for you and loves you.

I love to spend time with God, Family & friends and the weather was absolutely amazing. That makes for a wonderful weekend Blessed by God.
