Summer = Family

Where did the month of May go???Tomorrow is the first day of June and I feel like May just started.  I have stayed busy and I think that’s why it has flown. I have been working on a few new things for my decorating and fixed up some things around the home in preparation for Elijah’s graduation party next weekend.  I have also gotten to spend a lot of time with my family which I love.  I feel that in the times we live many people don’t take time for their family.  People let work, sports and many other hobbies stand in the way of family time.  At “The Lawrence House” a big priority is family.

We get together a lot.  Almost every Sunday after church we have dinner. This allows us time to catch up on what has happened in the past week.  We have garage sales together.  We go swimming together.  We sing and play music together.  We laugh together and one of the biggest ones….we pray together!  We have prayed together since Phil and I first got married. Prayer works my friends and starting and ending the day with Christ is the answer to many problems.  Try it, I am sure you will agree.

We had a few people over Memorial Day for hot dogs, smores and music around the campfire.   We even played some corn hole, a favorite outdoor game around our home.  After dark the Grandbabies enjoyed hunting fireflies.

They even played “Cops and Robbers” with Pap.  This is the cutest when Phil tells them to put their hands up and they do.  🙂

As you can see we love spending time with the Grandbabies and I think they love it too.  We try to keep them busy learning about life.  Sometimes you work and sometimes you play. Most importantly you “Find Joy In The Journey.”

They love helping Memaw water flowers…

….And Memaw enjoys capturing the memories.

Some things to remember about “Family Time.”

•It isn’t how long the family time is…           10 minutes is better than none

•It doesnt have to be expensive.

•It is a wonderful investment.

•You will never regret it.

I hope you take time this summer to enjoy one of God’s most precious gifts….

Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to spend some time with me.
