EASTER’S ON IT’S WAY

Hello,

It has been a wonderful week at the Lawrence house.  We were blessed to attend our oldest granddaughters 4th birthday party on Saturday.  Then I had an absolutely wonderful birthday on Sunday with our immediate family and parents.  One year old and still Thankful.

I have been doing alot of studying on the Easter story and have realized that even though I have been raised in church all of my life, I can always learn more about God’s word.  The more I read it the more I am amazed at things I have missed.  Years before he was born and crucified it was prophesied that it would happen.  Even some of the little details were spoken of.   It totally amazes me that the one who created the universe and all of us spoke and it happened.  He continues to speak if we will stop & listen.

Christmas has always been my favorite holiday I think mostly because I was raised on it from September to January. With that being said I will definitely say that Easter is my second favorite.  Had it not been for the birth, death and resurrection there would be no hope.

If you haven’t started a daily Bible reading I encourage you to do so.  At different times in our lives we have things that seem to get us down or lay heavy on our mind.  Whether finances, hurt feelings, marriage issues, death, depression or anything else you may currently be facing, we serve a big God that specializes in all these areas and more.  He knows how many hairs are on our head and the thoughts in our minds.   Find a bible app and search the area you need encouragement in and start reading and praying. It’s a great way to start or end the day not to mention it’s a great way to prepare your heart to be more like Christ.

We live in a world with so many problems.  Sometimes our minds get so overwhelmed with things around us that we forget to give praise to God for the little things. We are on this journey 1 time and will not get to do it over. Let’s focus on what we were created to do….
