Dressed Beyond Measures

Good evening,

We got some rain in Ohio today.  We have been blessed with several sunny days.  God knows what we need.  My mother and father-in-law sing a song that I love entitled  “He knows exactly What I Need.”

Some of the lyrics say…

When I thought I needed sunshine, the Lord sent a rain.

When I thought I needed healing, I had my share of pain.

When I thought I needed a friendship, I had to stand alone.

When I thought that I was doing right, the Lord said I was wrong.

When I thought I needed a blessing, the good Lord sent a trial.

Now I know just what it means to suffer for awhile.

I am sure we have all been there at times in our life when we thought we needed something and we prayed and the door was shut and we got something different.  Usually down the road we can look back and give praise for what God brought us from and to.

This bible scripture comes to my mind this evening:

25-Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26-Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

(‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭25-26‬ KJV)

So rest assured He knows what he is doing. If he can take care of the birds…

He has the big picture and he will definetly take care of you.

What a peace in knowing this!!!

I haven’t done a blog on fashion for awhile so I figured today is the day.

Just keep in mind…

I’m no model and not very photogenic!😳

I purchased the shirt and shoes at Gordman’s.  The shoes cost $7.99 and the shirt was $9.99.  I paired them with Navy blue capris from Catos and a navy undershirt. I have had both of these for awhile but I am sure they were found on clearance or at a cheap rate since I very seldom pay full price for anything.

The shirt has a country look with the plaid but an elegant look with the crocheted area on the back.

That suits me well.

~ I am a little country and a little elegant.~

I love the look of these sandals with the silver chain around the ankle and they are comfy.  As you can see my toenails are ALWAYS painted, even in the winter.  I can’t stand my “naked” toes.  (Tip: always put a clear base coat under your polish to keep you nails healthy)
